Gifts for Dog Rescuers: Cute Dog Howls and Whines at Squeaky Toy. Irie got this squeaky bone as a gift from her friend, Baloney. Ever since she heard the first squeak, she hasn’t left it alone. She constantly squeaks it, sleeps with it, and takes it with her everywhere she goes. She also chases it. She’s 7 years old and we’ve never seen her fetch anything. She will go back and forth for hours chasing this squeaky. We’re not sure why she whines and howls. Maybe she thinks there’s something inside it that she needs to rescue?
